Fastest way to remove app data
Use WakeMeUp's own delete and media-management controls for individual items. To remove all local WakeMeUp data, uninstall the app or clear its application storage in device settings.
1. No WakeMeUp account
WakeMeUp does not currently provide or require a WakeMeUp user account. There is no WakeMeUp login profile to delete.
Apple, Google, and Spotify accounts used with optional features are managed by those companies and are not WakeMeUp accounts.
2. Alarm and app data stored locally
Alarm definitions, schedules, repeat days, selected challenges, difficulty, saved media references, settings, and local entitlement records are stored on the device.
- Delete one alarm from its menu on the WakeMeUp dashboard.
- Remove saved media from the in-app Saved media page.
- Clear all local app data through the device's application-storage settings.
- Uninstalling WakeMeUp generally removes its private local database and imported private files.
Before clearing app data or uninstalling, disable alarms you no longer want and verify that no native alarm remains scheduled.
3. Imported local media
Audio selected through the current import flow is copied into WakeMeUp's private storage. Removing it through Saved media deletes the private copy when it is safe to do so.
Older versions of WakeMeUp may have stored a reference to an external file instead of a private copy. Removing that record does not delete the user's original external music file.
4. Spotify data and authorization
Saved Spotify track titles, artists, and Spotify URIs can be removed through Saved media. WakeMeUp does not store a Spotify password.
To revoke WakeMeUp's Spotify access, remove WakeMeUp from the connected-apps section of your Spotify account. Spotify controls retention and deletion of data in the Spotify account.
5. In-app purchases
Non-consumable purchases are associated with the Apple ID or Google account used at checkout. Deleting WakeMeUp's local data does not erase purchase history from Apple or Google and does not cancel a completed non-consumable purchase.
WakeMeUp may retain limited server-side purchase-verification information needed to prevent fraud, restore entitlements, maintain accounting records, and comply with law. This may include product identifiers, transaction identifiers, platform, verification state, timestamps, and a protected or hashed purchase token.
Refund and purchase-history requests must also be submitted to the applicable app store.
6. Contact messages and server-side records
You may request deletion of support messages or server-side WakeMeUp records associated with an email address by contacting [email protected].
Include the email address used to contact us and enough information to locate the record. We may ask for reasonable verification before deleting data. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, legal claims, or compliance obligations.
